Proud new mama, Teresa Byer, is a wife, teacher, and life-long student of yoga. She views the practice of yoga as a beautiful method of healing the body, stilling the mind, and connecting with our truest, highest selves. With her students, Teresa shares her understanding of yoga based on her studies with her beloved teachers and the experiences found within her personal practice. She’s found such peace from yoga and feels so blessed to be able to share it with the beautiful communities she calls home.
Her Mama & Baby class is designed to help mothers and babes through the postpartum period by aiding with healing and bonding.
After completing her yoga teacher training in Victoria at Feel Good Yoga in 2012, Tonya moved onto specializing in child, family and youth yoga with Rainbow yoga training. She has been working with children as an Early Childhood Educator for over ten years and feels blessed to be able to put her two passions together - children and yoga. Before moving to Qualicum, Tonya worked as a Behavioural Interventionist where she utilized yoga to help her clients. Currently, she owns and operates Little Star Children's Centre with her mom. She is excited to be working with the Nurture Collective to bring yoga into more children's lives.
